Knowing the back story of the filming of this movie and who was there with her during part of the filming, I can appreciate the sincere joy on her face.

There's part of me that interprets the look on her face as... 'I love you my friend, but fuck this! Let's, you and me, go somewhere else, enjoy some beverages and relax!'
Mind you this is my interpretation, though part of me really wants to believe it's true.

This is one of many (my favorite) images recently released by the family of Marilyn's trusted make-up artist Allen 'Whitey' Snyder.
One can only imagine the conversations between Marilyn and Whitey. What I appreciate most is that he never exploited their friendship. A rare quality and a true friend.

I first saw this image in the book Marilyn Monroe: Private and Undisclosed by Michelle Morgan

Why doesn't someone capitalize on those outfits and "Daisy Mae"-type tops? I'd think a lot of buxom girls would love to wear them, a la Marilyn
